The IL-1000 inline full-auto X-Ray counter targets fully unmanned automated SMT production lines. Fitted with maintenance-free 80kV microfocus X-ray source and 430mm high-resolution flat panel detector, it finishes reel counting within 12–15s. Auto mode fits reels up to 15 inches, while manual mode handles 17-inch oversized reels for special materials.
It supports automatic feeding, barcode scanning, OK/NG sorting and integrated labeling, and docks AGVs to realize zero-man operation. Its free lifelong upgraded AI algorithm recognizes tiny 01005 components with accuracy over 99.98%. It connects to MES, ERP and WMS, uploads data to cloud for algorithm iteration, and adopts multi safety interlocks with radiation leakage controlled below 1μSv/h international standard.

Speed and Accuracy

Artificial intelligence deep learning algorithm

Our counting software uses a powerful artificial intelligence deep learning algorithm. No need to bind components to algorithm, we use AI to automatically identify components and automatically apply algorithm. The algorithm can learn the counted component data, such as:
1. Aspect ratio
2. The angle of each corner of the component;
3. Slope between components from inside to outside;
4. Deformation of component images from the inside to the outside, etc. 

As the number of components counting increases, the results become more and more accurate. When we need to count similar components, or larger trays, we can easily handle it. 

Cloud database

Every Wellman X-ray counter can connect to our cloud database. The data and images of the machine will be uploaded to the cloud, and the machine will automatically download the latest database. Our engineers also optimize the algorithm in the background according to the images and data collected by each machine, and regularly update it to the database for customers.

Over time, the accuracy of counting will be closer to 100%, and the coverage of component types will become wider and wider. When a machine counts a new kind of component, if the data of this kind of component is stored in our database, our software can directly call the data, which brings users higher efficiency, accuracy and coverage.

It rapidly verifies component reel quantities upon material arrival without unpacking moisture-proof or foil bags. Auto scanning links counts to batch data to catch quantity discrepancies before materials enter production.
2. Daily Warehouse Inventory Audit
It accelerates regular stocktaking by batch-processing multiple 7-inch reels at once. All counting records are retrievable by work order or date, with data synced to WMS to maintain precise real-time inventory.
3. Production Line Material Verification
Operators quickly check residual reels on feeders to avoid unexpected production halts from material shortages. It also counts returned semi-used reels to support accurate production scheduling and material replenishment.
4. Finished Goods Outbound Audit
It conducts final quantity cross-checks before shipment. Count data connects to ERP and MES, building full material traceability and eliminating delivery quantity disputes with clients.
